An introduction to the research process and the library's resources.

Searching Library Databases

To search for newspaper, magazine and journal articles using the library's databases, start on the Library's homepage. Click on the "Find Articles" tab. 

Databases on this page are organized into four categories: starting points, databases by subject, background information, and newspapers.

If you are just getting started on your research, the databases listed below are great to places begin:

  • Academic Search Complete
  • The New York Times
  • CQ Researcher
  • Opposing Viewpoints

Online Resource Access

To log-in to library databases from on or off-campus, use your Triton.edu email address and password

When selecting a database link, you will see this login screen :

Triton students, faculty, and staff should choose "Login with your Triton Account," then sign in with a triton.edu email address and password.

Please note: Community member access is only available on campus. Visit the library's Information desk for a guest username and password.
