About the Library

The Library as a whole is not a quiet study zone. However, the Library expects all visitors to be respectful of other patrons and keep conversations and media down to reasonable levels. Library staff will issue warnings to disruptive patrons; further warnings may result in being asked to leave the library.

Silent Study Room

The glassed room on the Library's upper level is designated as the Silent Study Room. Please refrain from:

  • Cell phone usage of any kind
  • Socializing and talking
  • Group study (unless no conversation will take place)
  • Using headphones at a level of volume audible to others

Persons disrupting the room's quiet atmosphere will be asked to cease such activity, locate a different library area, or use a group study room. The patron will be asked to leave the library if the disruption continues.

  • Students are allowed to use the computers in the class room during the school semester when it is not being used for library instruction or programming.
