Speculative Fiction or Spec Fic is an umbrella term used to describe books that include science fiction, fantasy, alternative history, and horror elements but may not fall into any of the three specific categories. Spec Fic encompasses many genres including: Fantasy, Science fiction, Horror, Utopian, Dystopian, Alternate history, Apocalyptic, Post-apocalyptic, Superhero, and Supernatural.
