April is National Stress Awareness Month! To help you manage your stress and mental health, here's a list of self-help and mental health book recommendations!

Self-Care

Mental Health

You can begin your mental health journey by reaching out to Triton College's Counseling & Wellness Support Services. If you aren't ready for that, reading self-help and mental health books can help you get an idea of how to start making positive progress with your mental health.

You can also check out these free mental health workbooks from Mental Health At Home!

If you or someone you know is in a mental health crisis, you can get help over the phone or through text at the following help lines:

Illinois Warm Line (call 866-359-7953) to connect to clinically supervised and trained mental health advocates who provide emotional support.

Illinois Crisis Text Line (Text HOME to 741741) to connect to trained crisis counselors.

National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call 988) to connect with trained crisis counselors who provide support for someone experiencing thoughts of suicide, having a mental health or substance use crisis, or any other kind of emotional distress.

(Content from this section comes in part from Crisis Text Line's article "Why 988 Matters for Mental Health").

Thanks for reading! We hope to see you in the Library again soon!
