Loanable Technology Offerings

The Triton College Library Loanable Technology Program offers several items to Triton College students, including students in our Adult Education and WEI programs.

Students enrolled in the current semester must bring a valid Triton ID to the Library's Circulation Desk in order to check out Loanable Technology.

All Loanable Technology is available on a first-come, first-served basis while inventory lasts.

We are happy to announce that Mobile Hotspots are available for month-to-month checkout.

Items available for semester-long loans include:

  • Laptops w/ charger *(see info below)
    • For Credit Students 
    • For Adult Education Students** (see info below)
    • For WEI Program Students
  • Wireless Mouse
  • Headsets
  • Web cameras
  • Digital cameras
  • External DVD drives
  • Voice recorders
  • HP ProBook charger
  • Calculators
    • TI-36X Pro basic calculator
    • TI-84 Plus CE graphing/scientific calculator 

Loanable items available for use while in the library (these items must not leave the library):

  • Android and iPhone chargers
  • HP ProBook and Mac laptop chargers 

*Using the Credit and WEI Laptops:

Once you power the laptop on, there will be a loading "Welcome" screen. Once the "Welcome" screen disappears, the laptop is ready for use.

Please DO NOT LOG OUT of the account that opens and DO NOT login with your portal information.

**Using the Adult Education Laptops:

The laptop must be taken to the ETRC on the upper level of the Library (Room A-314) to be configured for Adult Education use.

Once you power the laptop on, there will be a sign-in screen. Students must have access to their Triton e-mail address ( to login to the laptop.

When saving documents to a borrowed laptop, make sure to back up your files to a thumbdrive/flashdrive or to your OneDrive. You can access your OneDrive through your email.
