What do you need to do when coming in to take a test?

Required Check-in
In an effort to increase the efficiency and ensure the integrity of the testing process, all students must complete an intake process before tests are distributed.

  • Come to the Testing Center Office in A-126. We are located on the first floor of the Learning Resource Center, A Building.
  • NOTE: Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to ensure time to complete the verification process.
  • Upon arrival for your appointment, you will need to provide staff with both their student identification card and a government issued ID. Tests will not be distributed without these two (2) forms of photo identification.
  • You must complete a Test Proctoring Intake form that will include various demographic and course information. Your signature is required to confirm identity, accept test taker responsibilities, and verfiy the disclosure of the consequences of academic dishonesty.
  • All exams will be distributed by the proctor after the room has been cleared and secured.
  • Exams are distributed at one time; late arrivals are not allowed to enter the room once the doors are closed.
  • Personal belongings, including any electronic devices, books, handbags, food, jackets, and hats must be stored in the designated locker and cannot be retrieved until after the exam is submitted to the proctor.

Testing Time

  • Once you receive the exam from the proctor you will be asked to verify the start time of the exam on the Test Proctoring Intake form.
  • You are responsible for monitoring any testing time that is less than the scheduled appointment time.
  • All exams must be returned at the end of the appointment time. Exams turned in early are time stamped by the proctor and must be verified by the student.
  • You will not be allowed to exit the proctoring room for any reason during the testing proctoring time. All students leaving the room are asked to submit their exam and verify the test end time noted by the proctor.
  • Should you need special consideration, contact your instructor.
